serendipitous

this is my favorite thing to do (besides leave videos on people's walls): take photobooth pictures and pretend i have a twin who's my best friend. we get along really well. but anyways, greetings from a random room on the second floor of the library. last semester was a little crazy but now i'm quite settled here in provo and just oh so happy! i'm taking the intro to my major-socio-cultural anthropology-with amanda and am loving it...i know for sure this is what i want to do so that's a relief. spanish was my favorite class last semester but this semester it stinks. i feel like i'm learning superfluous things like the subjunctive in adverb clauses and vocabulary about saving the environment when i still have so much of the basics that i need to improve but oh well. i'm taking this honors masterpieces of world lit class and i'm in way over my head-it's kicking my butt. we're reading stuff like levinas's ethics and infinity and brothers karamozov and i pretty much just stare at my spiral and pray he won't call on me. i'm also taking an international cinema class and it's intriguing-my teacher is pretty eccentric considering it's byu: he has shoulder-length hair and wears jeans/cargo pants to class. it's awesome.
in relief society we watched this thing on youtube called "advice from elder busche." everybody open up another tab. right now. and watch it before you keep reading. it has changed my life and i watch it pretty much everyday. it's amazing.
i have been on a rampage of adventures lately like ice skating on the roof of this cocktail party and sledding down the half pipe in park city...and this weekend getting my wisdom teeth out should be pretty interesting :/ hahahhaaaaa yikes
...candice i love your new years resolutions-very inspiring- and your hair looks so good! nicole (my sister) dyed a blue streak in her hair and melinda got pretty upset. i'm anxious for her to come up and visit over laguna's ski week!!!! i think i am trekking home for president's weekend-anyone wanna join? love you miss you. sorry this is really long
abrazos y besos

well well well

hello ladies! okay so it has taken me probably a month or two before i finally remembered the password and email login information for our blog haha whoops. haha okay so i have tons of time on my hands this semester. i am taking five classes but for some reason my schedule seems abnormally free, therefore, i am trying to think of productive things to do constantly. if you have any ideas, other than a job ahha, let me know :) um... i am looking for places relating to public health to volunteer at. i miss the beach so much. it is ridiculous. tommy and i drove up the canyon yesterday afternoon and it was gorgeous. absolutely beautiful. so at least if i cant have the beach, the winter is beautiful. oh i think that i am going to have a theme night! i am going to make some lo mein (or attempt to) and try to make fortune cookies and try to do origami. the best thing is that i get to make up the fortunes ahaha
bye now! -- amanda
